I’m finding that the big name programs for antivirus/spyware/etc don’t seem to do as good a job as the little ones. I’m guessing it’s because the newer programs aren’t really under attack yet so they can function better.nThat goes for this program as well. This is a nice suite. However, I found that it does miss some things and at times attempts to take complete control of the computer.nAfter about a week I got rid of it.

I really don’t see any true improvement in this version of Paint Shop Pro. In fact, if you have not invested in a huge monitor, you may find the user interface is too cluttered to be useful. The Organizer palette is really unnecessary and it won’t get out of the way.
A lot of the new features are just things you could do anyway in older versions of PSP, but with new names.

PDF CREATE 7.0 does exactly what it says it will do. Installing itself as a printer driver allows you to make PDF files from any application that you can print from. These PDFs will be electronic versions of what you might have printed on paper–if you need something fancy like fillable forms or hyperlinked tables of contents, you need a more expensive program.
The ability to combine existing files into one PDF is a bit different, but I really can’t think of a reason I would need to do that.

I found Family Tree Maker 2011 Essentials simple and fun for the beginner. While I am an experienced computer user, I have very little experience with genealogy. I found the Family Tree Maker software to be simple and intuitive to use. It installed easily on my Windows Vista machine and runs without problem. I like the ability to control the appearance of charts and reports. The help section is useful and well indexed.
