WHen it comes to virus protection, users differ in what they want so I’ll note that we wanted basic family protection as well as a few bonus features that came in handy.
This exceeded OUR expectations but be sure about what YOU expect. We got:nn1. Quick installation and the ability to be used by more than one family member. Simple, easy to use, solid protection.
Bonus features that may or may not be of interest to you:nnthe ability to rate web sites and rank them.

I use this as an additional security measure. Spybot catches some things, Ad Aware catches others and this catches things the other two miss (go figure). So I guess there isn’t one, perfect foolproof program and some things will slip through the best of them.
Still, I feel better knowing that I am catching lots of Spyware (87 items the first time I used it!).

We had an unprotected computer and we wanted some extra protection. Does this have all the bells and whistles for superior, top rate protection? I’d have to say No. But did it meet our needs? Absolutely.
What you get with this is solid protection against most viruses as well as decent security. It works for us and has for some time (that is why I waited to write this review, to give it some time).

I am hardly a professional photographer, but take a lot of digital photographs, and need quick, easy ways to get them ready to print and/or share. Unfortunately, I struck out with this product.
The installation was slow. The scan to find all of the existing pictures on my hard drive took forever (and I don’t have that many pictures) and really bogged down my computer. I had trouble using some of the features (or finding them).

I’m pretty much an amateur when it comes to photo editing. A little fix here, clear up red eye & blemishes, nothing really complex. I have used both PaintShop Pro X5 and Adobe Photoshop and like them equally. It can take a little to get used to, especially if like me, you’re not adept at editing photos. However, it gets much easier as you play around with the software more. I had a lot of fun cleaning up our old Disney World photos.

I’ve used other photo editing programs in the past, including Adobe Photoshop. The majority of my photo editing is simple fixes such as removing red eye, scratches, and other small improvements. Corel PainShop Pro X8 was easy to install, it only took a couple minutes and I was ready to begin editing my photos. So far I’ve only played around with the basic features but I am impressed with how easy they are to use.

I know little about computers. I wanted to be able to use the desktop without having to have our wireless router on all the time. Ordered this, at first it scared me that there was really no instructions. I plugged in the Cat5 from the cable box, ran one cat 5 to desktop, one to wireless router, turned it all back on, and everything works!!! If it’s easy enough that I can do it, anyone can.
