It may do a good job at detecting viruses, but let’s face it, if running an antivirus program throws so much junk on your system and slows it to a halt, how is that much different from just installing a virus?nnOK, it isn’t quite that bad, and I put it on a 3 year old Vista PC rather than messing with my nice Win 7 PC, but the slowdown over Vipre was very noticeable.

If you’ve ever done any video editing with Cyberlink before, you know you are getting a quality and intuitive product. In this suite, you get very well executed context sensitive editing. It offers features like it needs a lot of CPU under the hood, but it ran perfectly on my older Windows 7 PC. It has all the standard elements for editing suites today. You can do 3D, you have BluRay authoring.

I have spent years hating Vista, so I was eager to upgrade. I bought an HP Touchsmart PC which came with the free upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium 64. With all the bugs and problems Vista had, I thought this had to be better right? Hah! no such luck!nnFirst, the good. I gave two stars for two reasons. First, the UI is prettier and more polished looking. I like the cycling wallpapers.

I have always liked Trend Micro’s security software and this is no exception. If you have used Housecall online, you know that Trend Micro has a very capable antivirus package. This is very unobtrusive, and has a really low CUP draw. I ran it on a 7 year old clean laptop running Windows XP, and there was no major difference when it was scanning in computer performance. My only complaint, really, is the 3 PC per year limit.

After installing this program (and activating it online) it adds a tab to the Office 2010 ribbon bar for PDF creation. It couldn’t be easier to create PDFs from Office documents. While this one lacks the ability to batch convert, like PDF Converter does, it is easier to use generally. After all, if you want to create PDFs, you are likely to be editing in Office when you need to create the PDF.

good anti virus being disabled when I can afford a full version I will buy it

keeps me safer , yet it isn’t even a full year coverage never again !
