Great product. Time consuming to get it registered. Perhaps the company prefers a renewal or direct order to get you to pay much more!

Works well. After several phone calls. It works perfectly. Trend Micro is the best internet security in the market IMHO. Tried them all. Least invasive and has kept viruses for years.

When you buy the software other than the manufacturer, Acronis makes you pay the cost saving by torturing you with zillions of questions to validate your purchase. They are extremely neurotic in suspecting all non direct sales could be people who steal their software. Yes, it is not easy product to use. But it is definitely more reliable than the old Norton Ghost before Symantec retires. From what I read on reviews, I did not dare to try Symantec’s newer backup software.

While H and R Block did seem to attempt the remedy the awful Form 8949, Sales and Other Dispositions of Capital Assets, which is required for anyone who bought and sold stock and/or bonds, the remaining program and all the user interface are just awful with poor screen control and extremely difficult to manipulate as compared to Turbo Tax. I tried to switch out of Turbo Tax because it becomes much more restrictive in doing your own Forms without the awful lengthy Interview.

I thought I’d pick an accounting package to manage the finances of the lacrosse program that I run, and, well I got a Ferrari where I think a Chevy Volt would have done the trick. Yes, you can handle all of the basics that you might be looking for. It works great for managing the money flow, and I particularly like the marketing tools (the social networking and survey functions are particularly useful.

Overall, I would rate this one just behind Roxio Creator 2100 Pro for ease of use and functionality. The interface is clear and simple, but I did see some lag after entering commands. Nothing serious, but not as fast as Roxio either. There is a ton of downloadable content, but most of it not worth using, in my opinion. The 3D conversion does work very well, though. Otherwise, I will stick to using Roxio or iMovie in my iPhone for editing over PowerDirector.

For the average videophile, this program provides everything you need and more. I am amazed at the quick loading and smooth functionality of the program. This is likely due to the TrueVelocity Engine. While I have used many editing programs, this one does the best job, by far, with shaky video. It couldn’t be easier. As a non-professional, I appreciate the intuitive controls. This may supplant Roxio Media Creator as my go to program for editing.

I should begin by noting that I have Norton security products installed on all of my PCs. With that said, this program seems like an incomplete package. For what it says it can do, it does do well, but it doesn’t add anything to the Norton protection already there (and I would imagine that McAfee has a similar security suite that does all this as well).
Therefore, since it does what is says it does, I gave it three stars.

Corel takes the standard set of video editing tools and throws in a 3D converter. 3D is all the rage now, and it really can be nice to create a 3D video from your 2D source material.
Most of the tools here you’ve seen before. You use the timeline to place video clips, add your transitions, filters, etc. When you’re done, it has easy export to YouTube, Facebook, Flickr, etc. Most importantly, with all the HD cameras showing up out there, this offers easy export to BluRay disks.

This program is an absolute blast to use! Think of creating your own Wallace and Gromit style movies. Of course, it is tedious, and time consuming (you’ll be amazed at how short your film ends up being after quite a bit of work), but it can be fun as well. The software is really easy to use, and it helps you along. For example, you can overlay the previous frame on your current one to make sure you didn’t move the LEGOs (or whatever your subject is) too far at one time.
