Willmaker has been around for decades, getting better and more convenient each year…unless you have a Mac but that’s a separate issue. I run this under Parallels and it is just fine.
Follow the interview questions and you’ll end up with a valid will. Complex guardianship issues and conditional bequests are excluded, but if you have those issues you need a real live lawyer and individual attention. A number of other useful forms are included, such as various powers of attorney, simple trusts, letter to survivors, and so on.

Office 365 is Microsoft’s latest bright idea for how to get us to subscribe to the software we once bought. For $49 a year you get Office 2013 on a PC or Office 2011 on a Mac, plus more-robust versions of the tablet/phone versions of Office than you get for free. You also get 1TB of space in Microsoft’s cloud and the ability to sync a doc from anywhere you edit it.

Yeah, it does the job well for Federal returns, less well for state returns - there are a couple of esoteric things you need to do for yourself for Maryland returns.nThis year Intuit made it harder to switch between forms and the guided interview, and they’ve changed versions so you pretty much have to go for a more expensive package than you did last year. Despite the outcry, this outrageous bit of market milking will stick - unlike their previous attempt to charge you for filing more than one or two Federal returns.

Until now my main reason for running Windows on my mac mini was to handle a proprietary program from my employer that required Windows.
That program now works with Fusion, and I’m a much happier camper. Fusion lets me see both Mac and PC drives at once, run both operating systems at once, and avoid rebooting all the time. Rebooting is painful and timeconsuming.
Office 2003 runs fine, and the other programs I use run fine.

Willmaker has been THE tool for creating a straightforward will electronically for a couple of decades, and deservedly so. Whatever you think of Nolo’s business model, the tool itself works well for creating a complete and sound will. You can also produce other vital documents like health care power of attorney, financial power of attorney, and so on.
It’s irritating that Nolo lets each version run only for a year or so and then tries to scare you into buying a new one.

I am using this to monitor temperature in a data center. The readings are accurate and the email alarms give just enough information without bombarding me with too much information.
Configuration was simple and in less than 15 minuets I had the device configured and installed into its home. The web interface is simple and to the point. The only issue I had was concerning the devices ability to send out email, and with a little help from tech support that was easily fixed.
