I really like this software. It’s very easy to use and very fast. I recognize the need for keeping your hard drive clean for more efficient use and in the past have used several producst to do this. WinCleaner allows me to do all that with just one product. After you install it you can configure it to do what you want it to do. From that point forward you just have to remember to click one button to run the software.

Owning every game in the Nancy Drew PC series, it’s evident how much the games have changed over time, and whether it’s improved graphics or more detailed character design, it’s usually for the better. I still love to play the games from the classic part of the series (games one through nine), and although this one definitely isn’t the best of the first few games, there are still a few positive aspects in this one, you just have to look hard to find some of them.

Owning nearly every game in the Nancy Drew PC series, I’d have to say that one of the many things that HERInteractive excels at is the absence of repetition; Each and every one of their games feels unique and is lots of fun, although some may be more enjoyable than other ones. This one also has a unique location, a ranch in the Arizona desert. While sleuthing and the wild west don’t seem like a match in your mind, this game is definitely an amazing edition to the series, and deserves a spot on any detective’s game shelf.

Sometimes when I find myself critiquing Nancy Drew games, I realize how much variety this series has, while still never really moving it’s roots; The sleuthing that we all love has relatively stayed the same, but the setting changes with every game. Whether it’s a haunted mansion, or a ranch or even a train, HERInteractive takes on a new form of fun with each additional mystery, and while Secret of the Scarlet Hand is an older game in the series, and definitely not one of my favorites, there is still fun to be had with it, and orginiality is clearly evident.

Having played almost every game in the Nancy Drew PC series (missing SAW and FIN), I know that each game has a certain atmosphere in it; Some are more dark and murky (Castle Malloy comes to mind), some are very light and whimsical while still being a mystery (Secret of the Old Clock?), and some have a nicely balanced mixture of the two (Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake is a good example).

I’ve been using Office heavily since the 1995 version and always considered it one of the best products MS has ever produced. Starting in 2007 they introduced that horrid Ribbon interface which completely replaced the traditional and intuitive drop-down menus with a confusing jumble of icons spread amongst different tabs. Almost immediately the user base was divided between people who like the ribbon, and people like myself who can’t stand it.

My employer just upgraded to this and it’s absolutely awful, I’m going to have to see if I can convince IT to let me go back to Office 2010. I didn’t like the ribbon interface when it came out and after all these years I still find it cumbersome but at least it doesn’t make my eyes hurt. Office 2013 is full of glaring white space wasting huge amounts of screen space.

It’s so hideous as to be practically unusable. Anything else it offers is moot. Acres of bland, white wasted space. Do they think everybody has a 4k monitor?? Did they forget how to utilize the colors offered by graphics cards made in the last 25 years?

You can’t go wrong with this device. It’s the only hub I have that operates solely on power supplied by the PC. Plug it in and go. It’s that easy to use.
