This year TurboTax has out done themselves. Everything worked great and it was really easy to use. It’s Deductible was much easier to use than last year. Thank you for such an easy program to work with.

This year Turbo Tax Deluxe was easier to use than in years past. I think part of the reason might be for the very reason why Turbo Tax took a real hit this year because as most of us we just buy what we have always purchased without looking at it. Intuit changed their products this year. While this product in the past included home business schedules this year you had to upgrade if you had income from rental property or investments.

I tried this product more out of curiosity than out of a desire to anything in particular with it (I’m not a writer, I’m not continuously typing long documents, and even if I were, my typing is pretty good). I was fairly impressed at first, just because I’ve never used speech recognition software before, and it was a delight to see what I was saying (mostly) appearing on screen.
After playing around with it for a while, however, I don’t think it would be the kind of software I would want to use regularly to compose documents.

Before there was google maps, there was streets and trips, and I remember it fondly for helping me plan interstate drives without haggling with paper maps. Now, however, we’re all spoiled by nearly-instantaneous online access to frequently-updated mapping data, and take a dim view of maps that show entire neighborhoods and shopping centers, which we know from personal experience to exist, being illustrated as bare dirt with no roads. While MapPoint provides some level of integration with other office programs for displaying tabular data more graphically (how many people really need this feature?

We’ve been using QuickBooks for Mac 2013 for a few months now, just starting with keeping track of our home based business. Since I hadn’t used QB before, or in any other versions, I didn’t have to worry about migrating data from prior versions or having to relearn on a new operating system. Some of the reviews have been critical of the ability to migrate data between mac and Windows, or from prior versions.

I got this because the backup that comes with Vista Home Premium is useless, and it is ESSENTIAL to have a backup (I know from painful experience).
I installed and used True Image 11 for several months, and now have uninstalled it because the size of the incremental backup I was having it do nightly was growing by 1 - 2 Gig per nightly backup, and had vastly exceeded the total size of what was being backed up.

This product works reasonably well on XP, but on Vista it’s a WHOLE different story. I have never used a product that has caused me so much grief and frustration. What’s wrong?nn1. Frequently shuts down all HTTP traffic for no reason. Happens every so often, randomly.
2. Every once in a while it denies access to all programs, so clicking on any icon results in a message saying you’re not authorized.

EDIT 1-11-2008nIn the begining when I first tried VISTA I hated it because it did not play well with all my computers. Now Microsoft has got a lot of the bugs worked of the OS and it runs great and is stable. Microsoft still has TERRIBLE customer support. I hate being treated like a criminal everytime I call them. I raise my rating from 1 star to 3.

Windows XP has been the best OS from Microsoft yet. It is not perfect, but it does not crash very often. I’m running XP on 3 computers that are networked. My laptops came with XP, but my desk top came with Windows 98, which was not very stable (it crashed daily). I tried using ME, but that was the worst operating system ever. Upgrading my older Compaq 667MH Celeron was very easy with XP.
