I am not a TechGuy. If software is supposed to protect my computer, I assume it will do so with minimal intrusion into my computer usage. I have had this on a Vista platform for four months. It does not seem to bog down the computer, does not interfere with my work, and I don’t believe any AlienGeeks have taken over my computer for their own nefarious purposes. So by my standards, this software works.

I have had Kaspersky AV for four months. I put it on a Windows XP laptop. I generally use Mozilla Firefox as my web browser, but I couldn’t get my work done because there were so many warnings from Kaspersky AV. I tried Internet Explorer to browse, and it seemed to get even more warnings; I was at a standstill. I went back to the laptop many times over several months with the same results.

I try different AV programs periodically, but I always come back to Norton. Maybe it’s just familiarity, but this program is so simple to install and use that I can set it and forget it. That is the highest praise I have for an anti-virus software!

Installed this a month ago and have been using it since. During the installation, I was asked to participate in sending data to Kapersky, and I am always reluctant to do that. When I responded NO, the installation continued, with no problems.
This is easy to set up. You can suspend operation if it interferes with anything you want to do, and it seems to work with no loss of speed to other functions.

I understand the basics of anti-virus and anti-spyware, but I have no clue what a rootkit is or why I don’t want one. I work with various software applications and with online remote control of other computers, so what matters to me is speed and smooth operation.nHaving run this software for two months with no noticeable lags in computer performance and no takeover of my computer by XenothianGeeks, I give Vipre my seal of approval.

If you’re using 2015 you can skip this update. I did get it because I’m just in habit of keeping everything up to date. I’m a MAC user and tried the new Quicken for MAC. Sucked so bad I returned for credit and am forced to stick with the Windows version.

I’ve been a Quicken user for many years and like the Windows version. I normally purchase the updates but in truth there’s not much difference in a real sense compared to the last version. More importantly I wish Intuit would make a REAL MAC version that’s equivalent to the Windows versions. Their previous attempts have not been up to expectations. But, I do believe Quicken is the best of the home accounting programs.

Using for quite some time for certain accounting and MS apps that won’t run in Mac. Fast and reliable. Easy to use and runs well in background of OS with no loss of performance.

running on an iMAC i7 - when running windows programs in VM, the speed is indiscernible from when the same software is run on a win PC. Resource intense so the smaller the memory or processor speed, the less speed you will see.

Been using Quicken for many years. My last update was the 2011 so I thought it time to update to 2014. It’s got a few bells and whistles but a few problems as well. Took some effort to get the account updating to work correctly. I guess I look at it as supporting the company. What I’d REALLY like is a MAC version equivalent to 2014 for Windows.
