We’ve been using Quicken 2010. I know that Intuit forces us to upgrade every three years so I took a look at Amazon user comments on Quicken 2012. I won’t buy 2012 because the budget method was changed. I rely heavily on the budget portion of the program and like it the way it is. Apparently Intuit made budgeting like Mint and after trying Mint a year ago I hated the budget feature.

Update Nov 2016nI continue to wonder why Intuit made the budget changes they did. I’m now forced to use some data from Quicken coupled with a lot of manual calculations and external data. It’s just a mess. Why oh why doesn’t some other company come out with a competing product.
Update Feb 2016nI HATE Quicken budgeting. Even after using the 2014 version for over 2 years I still find it a royal pain to deal with.

I am a long time Quicken user. I heavily rely on the budget feature. I was happy with the 2010 version but know Intuit forced an update every three years. After reading through dozens of these reviews I bought the 2011 version.
Quicken now has three years to fix this mess . After that if the budgeting isn’t fixed and Imtuit won’t download institution data I guess I’ll stick with 2011 and manually enter quotes and other data.

This edition of Turbotax lacked several help screens. There was a message stating that help would be added at a later upgrade.nOther than that, I think I did pretty well with my taxes. I filed them in late February.

Love this product. It was far easier to use than I imagined it could be. Great product, straightforward and intuitive for the most part. Love it and recommend it to anyone wanting Quicken for their Mac.

Good product. Gets the job done overtime and really helps me out with my taxes. IRS accepts this product because of its famous accuracy I think.
I recommend it wholeheartedly!

I like turbo tax because it is easy, ecconimical and accurate. I like it because you can import data from last year’s returns and from your other financial programs such as quicken. The questions make it easy for the begginner or the pro to get the right decuctions. It is like walking you through the whole return.
What I do not like is that if you do not have the internet, you still have to call for an update disc.

Every year I go out and by Turbo Tax for the convenience and that I can down load the information with ease from my quicken program. This is a big plus in the programming and it’s only benefit. But I always wind up doing it by hand anyway.
In years past, turbo tax was issued and then a follow up final issue with all the information was added so if you waited until April, you would be assured to have the final version which allowed you to print and do your state taxes.
