This reviewer has used Turbo Tax for years with success. This year’s version was a disappointment; the company charged extra for features that previously been included in the basic package. It is fair to note that after a storm of criticism, Turbo Tax attempted to make the situation right. By the time this reviewer got around to filing later in the tax season, at least some of the problems had been corrected, and Turbo Tax continues to be a good way to manage the annual nightmare with the IRS.

This TurboTax Deluxe edition for Tax Year 2013 offers the Federal and one state tax return, along with free Federal e-file. For a small fee, it will also e-file the state return. TurboTax seems to get a little easier to use each year, although there is definitely a learning curve with the program. You can upload or download the basics and updates; the questions are designed to walk you through your taxes in hours instead of days.

In spite of the various problems the last couple of years, TurboTax remains a relatively painless way to do basic income taxes. If your finances are organized and relatively simple, you may be able to e-file your returns after just a couple of hours worth of work. The intuit software isn’t perfect, and there always seems to be a bit of a learning curve each tax season, but it is still straightforward if one has the patience to go through all the steps.

My NIS 2010 subscription was running out, so I purchased Norton 360 from Amazon. After installation, I received an error message, then was directed to online support. I followed its directions then got another error message. Called Norton Support (S Asia). Spent 30 minutes with their representative going through the same troubleshooting I went through, then finally uninstalled and reinstalled N360. Still same error message. I was then connected to a support supervisor who uninstalled and reinstalled at least four times.

I used KIS 2006 successfully for a year after being fed-up with Norton. At renewal time I was forced into KIS 2007. It was a disaster (see my KIS 2007 review).
After working with their technicians, I was led to KIS 2009, which was in beta at the time. I installed it with much trepidation (was I embarking on another time-sink?), but I didn’t have many alternatives (the devil you know vs the one you don’t know).

Imagine this: you’re snowbound in a fancy Wiconsin hotel where you’re supposed to be on a ski vacation. The manager just told you someone vandalized the historic library… and you’re one of the only four people who made it to the hotel! There’s Lisa Ostrum, the journalist who seems a bit too eager to become your friend, Jacque Brunais, a ski instructor from France who just lost the Olympics and is convinced something in the hotel will restore his name, Professor Hotchkiss, an old French teacher who is convinced that Marie Antoinette was a good-hearted person and is destined to prove it, and Mr.

This game was really good!! The new larger window was really nice, although the items window was irritating. Great setting and good ending, this game was really fun! This game, however, made my friends computer crash several times, and took her forever to complete it, so I would recommend this game for slightly faster computers. Great for everyone!
