This was the first Nancy Drew game I played. I played it with my older sister and it took us 7 days to complete it. It freaked me out several times but not enough to give me nightmares or anything (besides I wasn’t THAT young at the time). It’s extremely fun and it exercises a child’s mind well. It also teaches them some educational things. The graphics are great, much better than the first one (Secrets Can Kill).

This Nancy Drew game was a HUGE step from the previous one. The graphics were much better and you didn’t have to switch between 2 CDs. There’s only one this time! This one, I must say, was the hardest of all the Nancy Drew games. You always got stuck and didn’t know what to do. I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing. But if that ever happens, you can just go to the message board at herinteractive.

This game was probably one of the scarier Nancy Drew games. The graphics are still amazing and the features are new and improved! In this game, Nancy gets to have a PDA (personal digital assistant) that she takes around with her. It’s a phone book and notebook. Nancy jotts down important notes and such in it and this time, you don’t have to scroll ALL THE WAY DOWN to look at the new stuff she wrote (unlike the previous Nancy Drew game).

This was one of my favorite Nancy Drew games (and I only have 2 favorites)! This one wasn’t extremely hard but that’s kind of good because then it doesn’t frustrate you. This one was relatively easy and it was very interesting learning about Marie Antoinette (not sure if I spelled that right). You also get to stay in a castle. All the features of these Nancy Drew games are remarkable. You can talk to characters and explore many different rooms.

If you’re going to get an ND (Nancy Drew) game at all, don’t get this one, at least not until you’re done with all the other ones. Because this is the first one out of the entire Nancy Drew game series, it has terrible graphics. The people are 2D and look like they were cut out of a cartoon. It’s even worse when the environment is 3D! Plus, you have to keep on switching between 2 disks!

I agree with Gil Hanoch’s review and the points he made about making improvements especially his #4. When you want to revisit a section some of them make you walk through many pages to get to where you want but I still give it 4 stars because it’s not that big a deal and you can just jump directly to the form. I would maybe give it FIVE stars if it could handle a NOL (Net Operating Loss) or at least point us to the IRS Forms we need to fill out manually but it’s almost impossible for it to actually do it completely on the first year you have a NOL because you have to carry it back two years and then file amended returns for those years and then use what’s left and carry it forward.

I still like XP better as far as the user interface goes and for navigating with Windows Explorer. It’s the Start Menu changes that I dislike the most which is why I hate and will not buy Windows 8

It took away some of the features of XP for no good reason or I would have given it 5 stars maybe. It did install without a hitch.
