I’ve been using Kaspersky products for years now, starting from their Internet Security products. On my systems at least, Kaspersky seems to use minimal system resources, has had minimal false positives, and caught its fair share of viruses. The application also is easy to customize the settings – such as firewall, to allow, or block certain applications from accessing the internet.
The PURE version also allows you to manage other installations of Kaspersky on the network, which simplifies the process of configuring and monitoring multiple systems.

I was really disappointed by this software. I had used PrintMaster products for many years. I tried this version and it is very large (takes up a ton of space), the graphics and clip art are not great. With Google Images nowadays, it’s pretty easy to find the art you need and you don’t need to take up 20+GB of hard drive space storing clip art. I really found this version of the software unusable.

The Rosetta Stone program is truly ingenious. I have spent the last two months using the program and the amount you can learn in that time is by far superior to memorization or learning from a book. Rosetta Stone works the same way you learn your first language - without translation memorization. It seems a little repetitive as you go along, but when you realize how much you remember without any prompting or memorization, it’s truly amazing.

My family has enjoyed researching our genealogy with the Family Tree Maker 2012. A three month ancestry.com membership is included. I like that you can back up your records to your computer and an external hard drive. You can also get an iPad / iPhone app to accompany this product, which is nice for showing family members your findings on the go (i.e. at a family reunion). Overall this is a fun product and we’ve been able to discover interesting facts about our family tree.

I used this item in an older laptop that had only wireless G. It is a perfect upgrade due to the super small form factor. It does tie up a USB port but you can hardly see the adapter once its on.
