I have been waiting for the new update of the Mac version of Office. I have tried other alternatives, and they just don’t work the way I would expect them to. Having used Microsoft Office for the PC in the past for all of my office needs, I could not find anything that worked quite the same on my Mac. Printing would be off, or text would not look right, and just a lot of small things that made me feel that I needed to keep looking for the right program to edit spreadsheets and documents on my Mac.

I have used QuickBooks for my business all the way back to 1995 and it’s worked great, but Quicken 2014 needs lots of help. I want my money back Intuit

I’m a former software QA tester (alpha and beta) so I have quite a bit of impatience with companies that release software that doesn’t work right out of the box on all sorts of machines. A good software company will test their software on multiple configurations. Obviously other users are reporting excellent results, but that doesn’t mean everyone will.
I have used Parallels 3.0 since it came out and I was overall satisfied, but found it a little slow.

Full disclosure: I’m a Mac user so I don’t use software like this. Never have. But I have a girlfriend with a Windows PC and she always has virus problems. Kids downloading junk, that sort of thing. She tried Norton and it just didn’t work. I gave her this to use and it did the job. I can’t tell you why, I just know that it made her computer faster and did a better job than a leading competitor.

I’m a bit confused as to all the comparisons of Pixelmator to the full version of Photoshop. Just by looking at the price (hundreds and hundreds of dollars) you’ll know the two programs aren’t going to have the same features. The real competition with Pixelmator is Photoshop Elements, a stripped down version of full Photoshop.
As soon as I started the Pixelmator program I knew it wasn’t going to be of use to me.

Time Machine alone would be worth the price. Another continuation of OSX that helps keep a Mac the best computer for users. Are we not all users? You get the point!

I have had 6 versions of Toast, but dealing with this Canadian based company on their now famous rebate scam is not worth the trouble! Looks like they are using their old ploy again for some unknown reason. Good product, too bad they play the business game so poorly. Save the problems by not buying!
