I have been using an older version of Microsoft Word (the whole Microsoft Office suite) on my main laptop. I can’t re-download it for some reason to my backup laptop (it won’t let me even though I still have my registration code) that I keep at my parent’s house so I decided to get one of the Open Source suites. I tried Apache first and it wasn’t that good. Lots of issues with the word processing - the main program I use - so I uninstalled Apache and downloaded this suite - LibreOffice v4.

It works as advertised. I have both MAC and PC platforms and for MAC there are cheaper solutions available that do the same things. MAC is a greeat platform for open source apps. IF you want total compatibility with PC Word and other Office suite products then this product should be your choice.

Easy to set up but after that it’s just one headache after the next with drivers… it’s worse than vista, yes I said it…VISTA sucks but at least it can access the internet right out of the box without IT technical configuration. It works with nothing but the programs that came with it, and wireless internet, forget it…in the Ubuntu users guide it says if ubuntu does not recognize your wireless card, get a new one….

I have been using Norton anti-virus products for all of my PCs and laptops at home for many years. It is a trusted product and is more stable than many similar products out on the market.
Here is what I like about this product : easy to install and very user friendly to usen- provides robust protection against on-line threats and virusesn- does not take up a lot of CPU and memory resources

I held off installing Office 2008/Mac till my new MacBook Pro arrived, because I was afraid I’d bog down my old iMac with the installation. Well, I installed Office 2008 on my new Mac today and so far everything has gone smoothly.
Installation was quick and easy, though I think after installation the software required about 4 major updates which made it all take a while longer.
I’m using Office 2007 on Windows XP, as well, and I’ve also used it on a Vista machine.

If you have a touch screen computer then I would consider adding a star and making this a 3 star product, otherwise, Office Pro 2013 is only a 2 star product in my book.
First - the graphical interface, what we users see, is awful. Someone decided to return to the stone ages in terms of screen contrast. Those with vision issues will likely find this software horrible to use due to the lack of visual contrast.

Unfortunately, most people don’t really understand the purpose of tools like Adobe Photoshop and CyberLink PhotoDirector and the differences between them. Photoshop is a graphics editing program in which (among other things) you can create, edit and extensively modify digital images. Photoshop has a monstrous learning curve with hundreds of features and functions. When it comes to graphics editing programs, aphotoshop is not only king of the hill, but it is the hill itself.

I had been running XP for some time, but I ended up getting a virus despite sophisticated internet security. I figured I’d upgrade to Vista and do a fresh install. The installation was easy. After everything was up and running, I noticed it ran pretty well on my system. I have a 2gig AMD 64 dual core processor. After about a week, I noticed that my computer would progessively slow down day by day.

I really hate giving bad reviews because I know I am only one person out of thousands who have tried a product, so someone somewhere must have something nice to say about the product. Not this one.
This software is pretty much like paying $80 for a feature your computer already does. We’re not big Mac users in this hose, preferring to stay with Linux, but we do have friends who like to use Mac and clients who need repairs done who run Mac, so we’re familiar enough with it.

Even though I have a remote CD drive I can connect to my Dell Mini netbook, it was nice not having to haul it out and hook it up. The box comes with instructions and an authorization code to get you to the McAfee website where you can download the latest version of the software. My main concerns were protecting a laptop and netbook running Windows 7, and for that application this is an ideal solution.
