GUEST REVIEWER - ! MRS. KNOW IT ALL ;-bnnThis is a great product to use if you are interested in documenting your family history. I have always been interested in my heritage, and this software makes you want to learn more and more. I think just having the relationship with the elders in your family and hearing the stories is fantastic, but documenting them for other generations is best thing you can pass on.

GUEST REVIEWER ! MRS KNOW IT ALL ;bnnThis is a nice software bundle for a person just starting out working with photos, videos, and music files. It is so easy to put together slide shows with music, photo albums with music, create a movie with music/sound and to just create cards, invitations, etc. Once you have mastered this software, I then jump over to other well know products, such as Corel.

I have been using an assortment of Norton & Symantec products for years and while I have had some issues with them at times, overall I prefer their software over all others. There is a reason Norton (aka Symantec) is the industry leader - they are more consistent, more robust, and more stable than most other products on the market today.
That being said, I would not recommend this specific product for the average user.

I may be a little biased on this one, because we have a very nice GPS system that we have grown accustomed to. However, I have always had a copy of MS Streets & Trips on my laptop for use on the go and when planning trips. As other reviewers mentioned, it is lacking in some areas such as the voice prompting, etc. The GPS unit is a neat feature, but we had a little trouble getting it to work consistently.

I have the previous version of WillMaker and decided to try out the new one when offered the opportunity to do so. I have not taken advantage of the free Living Trust option and otherwise, I do not feel as though this update is an improvement over the previous version.
Overall, my opinion of WillMaker is it is great for simple or basic wills. For others, it might be a good starting point on things you need to know and prepare for when putting your will together.

I just updated to Vista from Windows XP. I find XP easier to navigate, but perhaps its because Ive had years of experience with XP and have only recently been introduced to Vista. I am sure I will get more comfortable with Vista in time.
Vista does run very smoothly and I love the desktop sidebar, to which we can add numerous little gadgets, like a clock, calendar, weather reports. So handy.

The last time I got the updated McAfee version, it added onto the previous year’s subscription. This time, it didn’t, so I ended up losing a month of my old subscription because I added this code in early. I guess I could call their service number to fix it, but that’s always a pain. It was so cheap anyway.
McAfee 2016 already found three viruses on my computer for which I’m grateful, but the three stars is for what it did to Windows after it told me I needed something like 30 updates for Windows.

I have been using Power Director for years, through all its incarnations. I looked forward to Power Director Ultimate 12 for its promised speed and versatility. I use it to create home videos and my video reviews – mostly video reviews.
Years ago, Power Director frustrated me with stalling and crashing. It also took forever and a day to render anything. I have seen great improvements in that area, and now it’s wonderful.

I have long been a fan of McAfee. Occasionally, I would stray and try another product, but I always come back. My last subscription was for McAfee Total Protection. Aside from the interface, I can’t really tell the difference. They both protect unlimited devices. They both track / remote lock / wipe my phones. Neither of them make my system sluggish. Total Protection doesn’t backup to the cloud, but I don’t use that.
