I got this software with what I thought was a fairly easy outcome in mind. I was going to work with my 11 year old to produce a small Jurassic Park like comic book. We were going to use some 3D dinosaur models, pose them as needed in Poser then composite them in photoshop to make the illustrations. All the parts seemed to be there but I keep running into issues.

Recently I have been trying to learn industry CSS standards and had heard that Dreamweaver has made great advances in CSS management in CS4 and CS5. I’m embarrassed to say what version I am using. When I got a chance to get a reviewer copy of this training set I jumped for two reasons, first I was mulling over spending the money to upgrade to DW CS5 and I second I have always that I was missing out on a lot of DW’s capabilities.

You really can’t beat the price of this software package. Except maybe by one of the seemingly endless offers Smith Micro releases, so shop around, you can almost always find a download special for under $20. As for the software, it packs a lot of functionality into a fairly straight forward package. There is a learning curve involved in learning its ins and outs, which is not helped by a lack of manual.

I have been a serious amateur photographer for some time with more knowledge than talent. I have used Photoshop a lot but never used a work flow package other than iPhoto, so despite understanding the concepts of workflow I have not had any practical experience using any tool like Lightroom. So out of the box this was a little intimidating to use. Setup/installation - This worked great other than having to update my Mac OS to 10.
