While I’m not sure it’s worth the price, it does do what it’s supposed to do. If you’re really paranoid about dangerous websites messing up your computer, you should change your browser settings or add a Firefox plugin that will prevent Javascript from running, but this is one additional measure of protection you might consider.

This is very easy video editing software. Depending on what level you’re starting at, you’ll likely find what you want. It goes from basically the software does all the thinking to advanced beginner to intermediate. There are tutorials on their site to get you started, but really you should be able to do at least a basic video or slide show right out of the box.

Yes Mac users, now you too can have all the joy previously reserved to PC users.nJust kidding.nOffice has obviously become the standard, especially MS Word. While one can easily complain that the program has grown with endless features and add-ons that nobody wanted, it’s still one of the best word processors out there. I’m not a huge fan of Outlook, but it’s standard in many office settings. Excel is likewise pretty standard.

Willmaker Plus was exactly what my family and I needed to prepare for an unexpected death. It took you step by step and for anyone who has used a tax prep program will find the format similar. It asks you questions to see what is pertinent to your situation and prompts you for the information that you need. What was really helpful was that you could stop and save and pick it up at a later date.

I started a small business last year and I kept completely awful records. AWFUL. So when it came to doing taxes it was a complete nightmare. I’m a one man(woman) show and expected this year to be better than last year, so I thought that I should start fresh this year and actually keep accounting so I got the Sage 50.
My first impression, is that this is WAY more robust than what I actually need and find that it takes more time for me to try and get the hang of using this software to be beneficial for me.

I have Photoshop which I use in depth as a book cover designer, but I found that I wanted to add more dimension to my work with artistic touches that I just wasn’t happy with, which is what I will be using Corel X3 for. Corel X3 is like using real art media to create with. And having it be compatible with Photoshop…is AWESOME! I was especially eager to play with the smart photo painting tool.

I started an LLC last year, but didn’t really know if I had done all that I needed to. And I had a client tell me that I really needed to have a license/contract agreement. I had been thinking about doing this, but didn’t really know where to start, so when I saw this I thought it was the answer to my prayers. Not only could I make sure my LLC was set up correctly, but I could use its forms and contracts to create what I was lacking.

I often have to email large files, and to save space in my email I like to zip the files. I used to use WinZip many years ago and found it easy to use. Then I changed computers and didn’t have the software so I began using a free program I found on the internet. It was OK, but it wasn’t as user friendly.
Now that I have the new WinZip I am a happy camper again.

Great Tax application. Have been doing my own taxes for my sole proprietorship even before computers (by hand), but TurboTax takes out all the guesswork.

I have used TurboTax for years and years and it has served me well. I am self-employed and this Home and Business version is excellent for that. I am on a Macintosh computer, but several of my friends also use the Home & Business as well.
