It’s great to see the update of Pages and Keynote. They both come with more functionality and with the same elegant style that comes with all of the Apple’s software and hardware. I’m also elated to have Numbers 08 which I think is a very simple program to use, especially for people new to spreadsheet layout. These programs can only get better with time.

Anyone using a version of Photoshop CS knows how robust its features are. However, thought it’s not a bloated program, its abundance of tools and capabilities can be intimidating to new users. For those who find Photoshop overwhelming and pricey for what they need, the image editor and creation program, Pixelmator, may well be a good alternative.
For a price of $59, as opposed to $699 for Photoshop CS4, Pixelmator provides many similar editing and design features found in the much larger Adobe program.

I downloaded a trial version of this a few months ago on my son’s laptop which does not have DVD. I was interested in this product to manage my ebay business and a small bake shop. I don’t need payroll or other robust features that a larger business would use, but I did need to track inventory and the sales invoices, orders, and time and expense allow me to get a pretty accurate overview of my actual costs in the bake shop.

Got this for my son who had a laptop stolen and just got a new Mac. It’s perfect - easy to install, runs all OS’s with no problem. He’s now able to use the software for his courses for his art minor and not lose the years of windows files he’s accumulated. He’s running Windows 8 and it couldn’t be smoother.f products to offer. Perhaps separate websites, one dedicated to the desktop side and one for the server side.

This is ok but I’m not sure how it’s levels 1-3. I got it because my son is taking Spanish and we took Spanish many years ago. I thought it would be a great way to strengthen his skills and rebuild ours together. But, this is mainly good for conversational phrases to be used while traveling.

Got this for my 14 year old who loves making cool edits to pictures of his favorite athletes, then sharing with friends and posting online. He was able to use a copy of Photoshop while he was taking a graphics course in school, but as that class is over, I thought this would be a good replacement.
So far, he’s said it was easy to install, and found it fairly intuitive to figure out how to find what he wants to do.

Easy to install but not at all useful. Mostly I use mcafee, and this is what I’ve gone back to. This product lead to my pc slowing down and freezing frequently, uninstalling solved all issues

I haven’t used this yet, I have used camtasia, and will update when I use it but decided to start with my 12 year old son’s reviewnnHe needed to create a movie for a school project and put together content from his phone (pics and video) as well as online - he was able to easy cut and paste clips and transition easily, even adding in some nice special effects. That type of outta the box ease of use is key.

We were hit with the warning that we needed to upgrade to premier, which surprised us. I had read the negative reviews but assumed that we didn’t need what appeared to be business related tax forms. However, we have mineral rights that caused the deluxe version hiccup and require the upgrade. Fortunately, it was a free upgrade for us.
The product itself seems to work as well as in past years, and I have no complaints about thst.

I found this version harder to use than the x3 version. Working with layers did not function as I thought it would (e.g. buttonizing a layers image changed the whole workspace, not just the layer. I also had trouble just dropping layers in. Beyond these little annoyances I don’t see much difference between x3 and x5. JASC should have kept this product!
