Installed the Lantronix USB device server in 10 minutes, just connected to ethernet, installed software, and plugged in devices. I am using it with an epson scanner and an HP Officejet K60- which is supposed to be (acording to hp) non-compatible with a wireless network. I bought this with the expectation it probably wouldn’t work with the HP but it did! wireless connection is great- entire network has full control over devices on other side of house, 2 ports left for any other devices I wish to network, couldn’t be happier this product was worth the price for me.

Downloaded this version of Office for Mac because I upgraded to OS X Yosemite and didn’t want to deal with apples version of office apps.n- Price is right, but use the comparison chart on Microsoft website or Amazon to see the differences in this version vs more expensive and all inclusive versions. This version included Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.n- Activated using the code that Amazon sent me. Easy process there.

First of all, I’ve had Symantec products since 2001, and I’ve had just about every yearly version that has come out since then. To say the least, Norton 2006 is the best so far. I had Norton Internet Security 2004 installed on this PC, a Dell XPS, with a P4 extreme edition and plenty of RAM. I bought the NIS 2006 and Norton system works bundle for an upgrade, and I couldn’t be more pleased with it.

I’ve been using Norton for almost 7 years now, since the beginning. The Norton system is not perfect, and takes most heat for hogging memory and slowing down computers with its real time scanning function.
Most Pc magazines rate norton in the top 3, but won’t give it the crown. Personally, I’m more comfortable with a big company like symantec, so thats why I choose norton 2006.
AS for the installation issues, you are BEST to format your hard drive BEFORE installing this program…do a full backup, and put this on CLEAN before anything else.

Why spend a TON of money on Office XP PRO when you can have it all for just a little? If you are a student or teacher, look no further, this is for you. This full functioning office suite comes with Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. It ONLY lacks Microsoft Access, which is a database program mostly used by professionals in that area of work. College students will likely never use it, therefore making this package perfect.

Timothy Geitner uses Turbo Tax. I have a diversified portfolio with three different Brokerages where I do both stocks and bonds. Turbo Tax keeps track of my trades and also my carryover losses from the great recession. It even tried to help me with some MLP K-1 forms. I decided to sell my MLPs after that. I have paid much more for CPA advice, and not gotten as quick of a turn around as Turbo Tax does for me.

I have written a lot of really large documents using several word processors. Sometimes a formatting code would get stuck in Microsoft Office (it never deletes codes, it just adds more layers) that we just couldn’t find and caused all kinds of font or formatting problems. I would run the file into WordPerfect and find the offending code and eliminate it and then re-export the file back to Word, because that is what we must use.

Over three years ago, the IRS began requiring excruciating detail on securities transactions for Form 1041 Trust returns. This requires using Form 8949 to support data entry to Schedule D. And over three years later, HR Block Software doesn’t support the ability to import securities transaction data (downloaded from your broker) to the Tax prep program so the multiple form 8949s and Schedule D can be created, and all totals rolled into your final return for eFiling.

I’ve been a Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) user for several years and never had a problem. The product worked, and a transition from my older Windows XP systems to 64-bit Windows 7 systems was largely seamless.
I typically shop for security software all year long - when I see a good deal, I buy it, knowing that at some point, my annual subscription will require (expensive) renewal. So it was in June 2011 when I bought PURE on a 100% rebate special.

I’ve used the HR Block Premium & Business software for about eight years now. The Business package is used for some family Trusts I manage and these Trusts hold actively managed investment accounts, each with over 80 securities transactions to report on Schedule D. My biggest beef with the software is no support for importing data to Form 8949 in order to populate Schedule D on a Form 1041 Trust return.
