I used to swear by Norton Antivirus because in 2 years working for a government agency that will remain nameless in the early-mid 2000’s their network went down 4 times and every computer on it was infected with a virus except for mine which I had uninstalled McAfee on and instead installed my own copy of Norton (though I’ll never admit that to the system administrator). But AVG blows Norton out of the water. I started using it because everyone I know who works in IT (which is a lot since I work in IT) recommended it. Now I swear by it because I have been virus free for 3 years running AVG just with the free version. And the internet security features that the paid version offers are second to none! Try it out for free at AVG’s website if you like, but come back and buy from Amazon because they are cheaper (at least today they are) and you get a box and CD at no additional charge!
