Adobe works hard to sell you on it’s play for pay service, however, I remember the good old days where you could actually own the license, and that truly is my preference. With purchase of this software, you get a packet which contains a code which you must register with them after creating an account. You then must download an installer, which will put PS and Light Room on your computer, with options to use a mobile version for other devices. The code is good for a year, and they try to get you to put a credit card on file with them- I passed. The software will take a while to install download and configure. So don’t expect instant gratification- especially overnnI use PS nearly daily and it is an essential tool of the graphic artist/digital trade. If you haven’t used it, the software is complex, but extremely useful for the digital artist. There are numerous tutorials to get you started, and the software will work well on most modern computers.
I probably wouldn’t personally choose to pay for Light Room- I can organize my own images and files, but Photoshop is certainly worth it.
I found the software downloaded and installed itself well, even on my older laptop with a non-supported video card. I’m not keen on pay-for-play software as a whole, I’d much prefer not to have to renew the license, so I don’t like that aspect of this software or the fact that they wanted my credit card.
