This version of Family Tree maker is to be utilized with a MAC. First off it would be beneficial to join Ancestry.com. By joining this website it helps to organize your family tree while you research your genealogy. The program was easy to use and comes with many features. You are not limited to update your information only on your computer. It was so ingenious to allow users to use this program on their iPad and iPhone. My son is currently researching our family. While traveling in NY we visited the NYC Public library and it was so wonderful to upload all our information on my iPhone. As I explained earlier the ease was a big plus and being that my son is only 13 years old and he can use it was wonderful. This is mentioned to show potential purchasers of this program that even a young child can use it.nWhile delving into our history we could also share information with our relatives which helped them top provide us with more information. It was so exciting to reconnect with cousins, aunts and uncles who do not live near us in the U.S. but also those still residing in Europe. This was also a big plus for us. While researching and speaking to our relatives with found the information provided to us was significant and it felt as though we were playing a fun game of Trivia. Everyone was excited to trade information and receive updates. Photos were also exchanged as well as stories.nOn the main screen you can see on the left hand side a panel that shows all your relations in alphabetical order. With the ease of your computer mouse you can scroll over the name , click and view the information you collected. In the middle of screen you see that particular persons family tree and on the bottom you can view their marriage and number of children. On the right hand side, the program allows you to put in more information as you find it. Click save and now you are ready to bring up all their information as you need it.nThis would make a perfect gift for the researchers in your family or even for yourselves. We absolutely loved it.
