In the box is a small credit card size card with a web address and ID number. You downloaded this from the website.
After downloading it onto my tablet I was sent an email with a download button to download it to my phone and computer. They really make it simple. All you need to do is register and enter your user name and password to download to your other devices. It does not say how many devices you can put this on. You’ll download their app to your devices to run the security and protection.
As far as total protection goes, I already have most of the protection from Samsung for my tablet and smart phone, such as locking the devices and using either a PIN or finger print to open, and the ability to lock or swipe your information in case of theft or loss. What I was hoping this would do for me is to stop those stupid pop-ups I get on my tablet. My internet security protection stops pop-ups on my computer, but this does not stop them on my tablet. I still get the same pop-ups I got before installing this.
If you somehow have a tablet or smartphone that does not come with protection features, then this will give you what you lack. It also allows you to backup your information, but I also get that from Samsung, so it isn’t necessary to backup with McAfee too.
What annoys me is that the app has number flags that show up to indicate that you haven’t accepted all of their security protection offered. But, I don’t need all of it. So, I wish there was a way to decline something so their flags would go away.
I may not keep this on my tablet or phone, but I haven’t decided yet. It’s ok, but without pop-up blocking, it isn’t great.
