It installed quickly and easily. It opens fast and runs very well on this fairly new, but low end e-machine. I am SO impressed by the quality of tutorials on this software, and the fact that they are FREE. They really add to the value of this program!nnMy husband is a housing designer by profession, and he usually uses Autocad. He was impressed with this program. He says that it does a LOT that he does everyday but a lot easier. He loved the interface. He said it was scaled down and much more usable than Autocad, and that he thought this was a great alternative for people that did not know Autocad or that didn’t want the expense of it or the PCs to run it on.

He had our house dimensions recorded, so we pulled those and quickly got a replica of our house done. I’ve been having fun seeing the potential of our home with the Interior design features. I love that you can import new objects from the big appliance and furniture makers! The program already has a lot, but say, you want that nice new Maytag laundry set, you can go download it and see what it will look like in your home!nnThe garden design is something I think I simply LOVE. If you have GPS, you can map the exact elevation of your lot! There’s an extensive plant database that lets you find plants for your region and place them in groupings.

It has flat views, 3-d Views, glass house views, and let’s you import pictures of a lot to use as a background. It let’s you do bird’s eye and walk-through and is VERY slick - I think it would be very impressive as a presentation tool for designers.

I’m actually delighted that this program doesn’t cost MORE for what it does, and the fact that it has such high quality training with it.
