Overall:n The bottom line up front: This is easy to install and pretty easy to use, but limited in its capabilities. For family use onlyprofessionals and even photography enthusiasts will find the offerings and adjustments very limited. You may be better off sticking with the free software provided with your digital camera. Some of the issues include:n There is no ability to manipulate images using separate layers that can be added/subtracted/blendedany image manipulations will be stored as a separate image from the originaln No sensitivity adjustments to smart toolsn Saves in JPEG and TIFF onlyn Its all packaging: Many of the catchy-named adjustments are nothing more than modifications on basic cut-n-paste, contrast change, high-light/low-light, and blend tools for controlled portions of the images. One example being Tooth Brush, where it just blindly lightens up the tonal values of the selected area.n Below are details on some of its offerings:nnLIBRARYn This is perhaps one of the more useful sections of this software, as mundane (and limited) as it is. Create folders, tags and albums to keep your quickly expanding photo library in order. This is also where all the metadata is saved/viewable. Having said that though, theres not an easy way (that Ive found so far) to search on the metadata. For instance, doing a query on all images with an exposure greater than 2 seconds (to quickly find all your night shots).

ADJUSTMENTno Manualno Gives you the ability to adjust the Histogram, white balance, tone, and other basic adjustments. Same basic abilities as most software provided by camera manufacturers.no Presetsno Many factory-created pre-sets with cool-sounding, evocative names like Retro, Dreamy and Surreal.

EDITn PEOPLE BEAUTIFIERno Tooth Brush: whitens teethand lips, gums, everything else that gets painted with the tool (i.e. theres no smart setting). Can erase any of that bleed over, though.no Eye Blinger: nothing more than a paint tool to lighten areas (eyesor anything else), darken areas (pupilsor anything else), or smudge in thicker eyebrows (over eyesor anywhere else).no Skin Smoother: reduces contrastarguably for wrinkles, freckles, and blemishes, but works equally well on grass, brick, and trees.no Wrinkle Remover: same as OBJECT REMOVALs Smart Patch, where you select (draw an enclosing area around) the offending wrinkle, then drag that area to a smooth part of the skin that gets duplicated into the wrinkle area.no Body Shaper: distorts the selected area of the imagepinching or expandingnn PHOTO EFFECTSno Effects are pretty basic, but at least lets you un-do the modification in portions of the image if desired. The select tool is rather inaccurate (will eat into clearly defined edges), and no way found to change the sensitivityno Content Aware Removal: gives you no control over what area is sampled for the replacement part of the image, and is hit-or-miss.n EXTRACT OR COMPOSEno Background Removal: Or removal of any part of the image as selected. The area can be drawn out with a smart-brush or smart lasso-tool, with the ability to fine tune after initial selection.no Photo Composer: Allows you to paste a second image (PNG or JPEG) into your photon PHOTO MERGEno Functions as an HDR compiler for bracketed images with different exposures. If you have a camera with an HDR setting (most smart phones have that too), itll be best and easiest to just let the in-camera (in-phone) software do it.n FRAMES AND WATERMARKSno Watermark Creator: Will overwrite a customized watermark on to your photos.
