I’m a longtime Norton user. I’ve gone through all the various name changes and levels of coverage and my current experience is with Norton 360. Norton has now somewhat simplified it’s internet security line-up with one name, and 3 different versions: Standard, Deluxe and this Premium suite. [See photo of box showing which features each has]nnInstallation was pretty fast. I entered the product key and was done right quick. As I use N360, I clicked on Stay Protected and it brought me to the renew subscription screen, with the option of entering a key code.
I entered my new key code and it simply applied it to my Norton account. I was expecting the usual time consuming process of uninstalling the old product, then download and installation of the new product. Instead, it showed me as having an up-to-date subscription.
So Yea, I’m a little confused! My PC still says Norton 360, and the key code extended coverage for another year. I’m not complaining, because I like Norton 360 and all of it’s features. It’s similar to the current release Norton Security Premium so I don’t see a difference. But when I went into my Norton account online, it stated my product as Norton Security Premium. So yea, confused.
When I installed it on my other laptop and desktop I entered the product key and Bam, I was done.
The Good: This is a great deal for 10 Devices. I previously had only 3 device coverage, which caused me to have to purchase additional coverage and I purchased Webroot Secure Anywhere which is also an excellent choice I recommend for complete security and password management. We have 3 laptops, 1 desktop, 2 iPads, a Tablet, and 2 smartphones. I remember the years of buying coverage for just ONE device. Nowadays, 5 will probably be the minimum, but needing it for almost 10 devices is realistic.
The sale price is very good. And with Norton, it always pays to purchase a brand new product when it is time to renew because subscription renewals in my long experience, have always been ridiculously more expensive. I advise to never sign up for Auto-Renewal because it’s a hefty price to pay. Although I am reviewing this free product for an unbiased review, I purchased N360 last year for 3 devices for about the same price as this one which covers 10 devices for one year.
I’ve always preferred all-in-one protection - and this fits the bill. Features I don’t use but may be important for some: Protecting your children’s internet use with Parental control, and 25 GB of online storage.
I’ve been happy with the reliability of Norton products, although in years past I’ve had some system slow down. So far, No problems with the newest version Norton Security Premium.
