I think this is actually a very good OS. There are a lot of new features and Home Premium appears to be the best Vista OS for the money.nI purhased a new PC with this OS and have really found no compelling reason to upgrade to Ultimate for $150.nOnly legitimate gripe concerns drivers for non-microsoft products. Not excatly sure why this is microsoft’s problem though.nRegardless, this OS is the smart choice for a new PC for home use. Accept a minimum required graphics and audio card until suppliers catch up with this new OS. Then upgrade. Otherwise, wait till you need a new PC.nI have developed one caveat with this product after months of use. The Digital Rights Management system in Vista can be a real hassle for those of you that enjoy downloading music from web sites with WRM licenses. For whatever reason, Vista forgets the licenses and tells you that your player is corrupt. This only happens on legally acquired music downloads. The problem can be corrected but it is irritating since you have done nothing wrong. One problem stems from alternative players that may not be licensed to play your purchased WRM format. Say a Walmart download on a Real Player that limits you to just Windows Media Player. I found on one occassion that my audio card was shut down by Vista and that even baffled Dell. If you don’t mind messing around with fixes or you don’t download music from the internet, this is not an issue. It does not effect purchased CD’s that are ripped on your computer or open licensed MP3’s.
