I have been using this product since its early releases (purchased this version as an upgrade through Acronis). This backup software got me out of trouble a few times including one incident which my PC’s hard drive completely crashed. I was able to recover all my backup data and got my computer going again within 1-2 days. It took about 4 hours on the average to backup 250 Gbytes of data with the verify option turned on.

I also used this software to expand my laptop hard drive capacity using the cloning feature. So far I have cloned three of my laptops’ hard drives to the higher capacity 500 GB drives without any problems. It is quite useful particularly with the low hard disk drives cost nowadays.

Another beauty of this backup software is that it allows you to browse the contents of the backup file with a windows explorer like interface and selectively restore the files without have to manually launch the recovery option from the menu. If you register this software on the Acronis product website, you would also be able to download the latest updates of the same version (fully installable file, not patches) for free by logging in your account.
