This is supremely robust accounting software that is perfect for small to mid-sized business that are seriously keeping track of their own accounting, with or without the assistance of a CPA.
I have a small business that I run with my sister and my husband and this software makes keeping all of us on the same page a breeze - especially because my sister is located in a different state. I love that you can seamlessly export to Excel much of the data - this makes storage and sending info to others really easy for us.
The main draw to this software is the breadth of service that is offered here. Shipping automation, task management, cost estimates and comparisons, and tons of other features are available for use. There is even features that let you forecast your options in pricing and purchasing and training. I love that we can do everything from here - payroll, bank account watching, business forecasting, and tons more.
Installation was straightforward and typical of any software. A few steps and we were ready to go without having to install too much extra stuff on the computer.
There is a HUGE drawback to this software. The price vs. life span of the software is not that great. While our business will be able to continue to use most features of the software in the future without the support and other features that will be disabled when the Sage service is up, all those extras are nice and losing them really sucks, for lack of a better word. I suppose I could continue to fork over the ridiculous price they want to allow me to keep these services, but it just isn’t worth it after I’ve dropped such a pretty penny on the software.
The software is truly amazing for what it is and I really hope that when our year is up, the bill won’t be all that bad and we’ll be able to keep it for a while, but as it’s looking it doesn’t seem to be the case.
Despite the time limit on some of the features, I would still recommend this to anyone who has the capital to invest in good accounting software. It’s pretty easy to use, despite the complexity and I feel there is a pretty good bang for your buck with it.
