Review by Victor Blake
I’ve installed and tried this software (for a couple of months) on multiple Windows 7 computers. As a package that allows use on up to 3 computers, it appears to be a good value. In practice I found that it had far less features than iolo System Mechanic Professional. iolo’s product also allows unlimited use within a single family/home which is an even better value if you have more than 3 computers. With laptops and desktops for myself and four kids, I’m sure there are other families out there who will find a license for 3 isn’t as attractive as a license for all of the computers in your household.
While this is a simplier product to use than iolo’s product, the iolo product can be set to automatic for many features hiding complexity. But when you need it, there just is not the level of detail that iolo has. Given that, I removed this product and re-installed iolo.
For the record I have in the past also tried and used Symantec’s product (which itself is a virus and almost impossible to remove) and the Kaspersky product. Among these, iolo is by far the best product in terms of value, features, customization/manual overrides, and of course practical security.
