Review by Bryan Newman
You really can’t beat the price of this software package. Except maybe by one of the seemingly endless offers Smith Micro releases, so shop around, you can almost always find a download special for under $20.
As for the software, it packs a lot of functionality into a fairly straight forward package. There is a learning curve involved in learning its ins and outs, which is not helped by a lack of manual. The tutorials are nice, but I would love a well indexed user manual. It seems very easy to get some cool animation going right out of the box but like that 90-10 rule - the first 90% is easy, the final 10% takes 90% of the work. In the end I was frustrated with my intended project which was to animate some JPEG images. I found that this package works far better with vector graphics. The skeleton frames are straight forward, producing an entire film, not so much.
All in all, I really can’t say anything bad about such a powerful package for such a low price. The only true limitations I have come across were my own.
