This is actually pretty good for the price, but is definitely not the best photo and video editing on the market. Of course it isn’t trying to be the best either. The UI is easy to use and it provides the basic tools you’d want. I can recommend it for novice users.
That said, if you have Windows 7, just use Windows Movie Maker from Windows Live Essentials. You also can use Picasa for a pretty good photo editor on Windows XP, Vista, and 7. I prefer more advanced tools like Adobe Photoshop Elements. I strongly recommend against Adobe Premiere Elements, though.
