Maybe it goes without saying (maybe it doesn’t) but you need to have your laptop with you for this product to do you any good. For turn by turn directions it is VERY awkward to try to do this with a laptop in the passenger seat. If you’re looking for turn-by-turn directions there are much better dash (or windshield) mounted solutions from companies like Garman (I love my Garman Nuvi).

What I like most about this software are the detailed maps that are included. I do like to print out a map of my destination point even if I’m navigating via GPS and this tool lets you do that easily. I suppose it would come in handy if I wanted to map out landmarks along my intended trip route (it has a massive POI database).
