This is a fantastic product! I put off using it for a while after it came. It’s kind of a grim thing to think about, but we are all mortal, and it’s very important to make sure this kind of business is taken care of. I thought it would be complicated and that I would need a lot of information to get started. Not so!nWhen I opened the box, I found not only the CD with the software (Windows XP/Vista/7/8,), but also the handy, easy-to-understand handbook from NoLo, The Legal Answer Book for Families with basic advice from lawyers relating to marriage, divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, children, and elder care.nThis information will be very useful for people with large families and complex issues related to their estates. Our current situation is very simple, so I did not need it to set up a will, but I am glad to have it as a reference.nNoLo’s self-help legal guides have worked for my husband and me before. We handled his mother’s estate, which turned out to be more complex than we had expected, using one of their books, and everything went well.nTo use the software, simply load it into your computer, register it, and then answer some very simple interview questions. Then, hit print, and all the documents you need for your state and county will print out, ready to be witnessed and signed. That’s it. You can also print out record pages to collect and keep track of your assets. We are going to do that when we prepare our taxes in January.nAs a bonus, you get a free one year subscription to NoLo’s Living Trust service online.nWe have been worried about this particular task for a long time. It seemed so complicated. It was a relief to see how easy it was. A little time now (a few minutes) can save many people a lot of money and grief later. I recommend it!
