Don’t do it. I updated from windows 7 Ult 64 and found zero benefits. It booted only slightly faster but sometimes actually slower, not sure why?. Many programs did not work after upgrade. I installed VMware player and it ran so slow it was almost not useable with my I7 processor. Has some features from windows 7, but feels a lot like windows 8.1. Also has a tablet mode - who needs that on a desktop. If you decide to undo the update, Microsoft will break your task scheduler. After undoing the upgrade, the task scheduler returned so many errors I couldn’t write them down. I found out that this is the case for many users and you need hours online to figure out how to fix it. I thought windows 10 would be more secure, but after some research, it is not. I will wait several years before I attempt this again
