Originally I was going to rate this 4 stars but now that I have played around with the OS and have some experience, I have to say I really like Windows 8. Yes, it is different but very useful. I don’t have to check email if I don’t want to since it’s a live tile and I can see who sent the email. The apps are steadily building which is a huge difference since this is the version Microsoft has had apps for. The upgrade is pretty simple and if you don’t like the Metro UI, you can switch over to desktop mode, which is what most users will be used to. I did that for a few days but now use the Metro UI unless I need to use a legacy app that won’t work with Windows 8. You gain much more than you lose in my opinion.
