This version of Office is a pleasant step up from the 2003 I’ve been using. Excel was little quirky in that it crashed a lot until I made a couple tweaks I read about in the Office Community pages. However, I’m upgrading to 2013 this week simply because the mainstream support of 2007 is expiring this fall (Oct 2017). It was typically easy to install and it allowed me to keep my Office 2003 version without any problems. Converting my old jspreadsheets to the 2007 format was easy but I strongly recommend saving any Excel sheets in the 2007 format xlsm (macro enabled) because until I did that all my docs would freeze up and Excel just crashed every time I opened a doc. I gave Word a quick test drive and it seems fine. I really really like the easy of inserting tables. I’ve yet to try Word out on any of my larger docs (700 page novel, for example) but I don’t foresee any troubles. Overall, I like it but I still am upgrading.
