I stress-tested this product by purchasing 1,000 ft of CAT5e stranded UTP cable and connecting both ends using RJ-11 connectors and just one pair of copper conductor. Although the manufacturer recommends solid copper telephone wires, I thought I’d give it a shot anyways. The results were impressive. I got 50 Mbps on the other side and a SpeedTest.net test confirms the same internet speed I get when using my local Giganet LAN (i.e. around 30 Mbps). Highly recommended product, principally if you need to take a ride on an unused pair of telephone wires to extend a LAN. Bravo B&B.
