Very powerful and capable software that runs a close second to Adobe’s various Creative Suites. If you don’t want to pay hundreds more for an Adobe Creative Suite or you don’t need to share files with other professional digital graphic or video artists, then CorelDRAW Premium Suite X5 is the way to go.
Since the early days of computer software, Adobe and CorelDRAW ran neck and neck for the top graphic design and image editing programs. Since the turn of the millenium, Adobe edged forward and has since sat atop all design, photo, and video software programs. With more acceptance and praise also came a higher price tag…. much higher…. 3-5x times higher.
For all of us coveting an Adobe Creative Suite, there is an alternative that works just as well and has many faithful devotees - it’s CorelDRAW Premium Suite X5. In CorelDRAW Premium Suite X5 you can do nearly everything that Adobe CS can do and in most cases just as well or better. The capabilities of both software programs are nearly identical - the important difference being the restricted access to file types. Adobe’s video and graphic file types have become the professional design industry standard over the years. This is the biggest thorn in the side for CorelDRAW users. To avoid downtime and technical setbacks, it is vital that designers sharing files use the same software and version. Since Abode is the industry standard, a CorelDRAW user will be the odd man out, even though his software is not inferior.
So if you want the most capable software, but don’t want invest a year of car payments on a computer program, then CorelDRAW is the way to go.
