Mavis Beacon was one of our first programs many years ago, producing two daughters who can type like a pro (they are, and quite successful writers, with a nod to skills from Mavis).

So, what’s changed? The basics remain the same: easy to position hand positions and skill levels you can do over and over again to polish your accuracy. don’t sweat it, advise Mavis; relax and you’ll do a percentage better. Besides, these are loaded on your machine for your own use, nobody else’s, so treat it like a game of skill and watch your skill take off quickly.

Mavis Beacon is the world’s best typing program, and rightfully so. The CD runs on both Windows and Apples (I have it on my MacBook Pro). It’s as fun as it is skill-building. Friendly as a program from Broderbund can be; loaded with guides and aids. It checks EVERYthing!
