We have an 8 year old, 6 year old, and 4 year old who are working on their reading skills. The 8 year old is pretty fluent, the 6 year just completed the basics, and the 4 year old is in the beginning stages. The 4 year old has shied away from all other attempts at learning reading skills, but this Rosetta Stone Kids Reading has really struck an interest in him. It is fun, great (but not too overwhelming) graphics, and even a story line that is easy to follow along. There is no cd for downloading, and it is accessed straight from their website. With one subscription you are able to have multiple accounts so each child can maintain their independent process, and their accounts are tailored to their reading abilities (ie, the less advanced learner starts at a lower level than the more advanced learner). The only reason this did not get 5 stars is because there were a few times there was trouble loading it (website went black, but audio was still heard). It is a wonderful supplemental reading asset for your beginning, emerging, and even advanced reader (even though the 8 year old has covered and mastered all the skills, he still has fun playing the games).
