I have used Quicken for years, on both PC and Mac. The upgrade from my old Quicken 2004 to Quicken 2007 for Mac couldn’t have been easier. I use Quicken to track income and expense for tax and budget purposes. I like the ease of download of data for credit cards, banks, and brokers. Reports are quick and easy. Export of data to a spreadsheet for more sophisticated manipulation is simple. For these things alone, Quicken is worth the money. There is no competition; this is the only game in town for the Mac.
